Diane Dubreuil was raised in Maine and spent a great deal of time in the out-of-doors. Her interest in art and “plein air” painting began at an early age and has continued throughout her adult life.
“For me, nothing refreshes my spirit as quickly as a few hours outside. Quiet observation of nearly any scene, helps me learn about the place and the people who frequent it. Painting en plein air adds to that experience. I meet the most interesting people who tell me about their towns, their families and their homes. It’s an opportunity for sharing, and I love that my art is a catalyst for that.”
Diane is lives in New Milford, CT. She recently “retired” as Chairwoman of New Milford Commission on the Arts, and now volunteers as a co-Director of Gallery 25 and Creative Arts Studio, sponsored by the art commission. She is a signature member of the International Plein Air Painters WORLDWIDE, is a juried member of the New England Watercolor Society, a member of the CT Plein Air Painters, a member of the NH Plein Air Painters, member of the Plein Air Painters of Maine, and several local CT and ME art organizations. She teaches watercolor classes and demos for art organizations.
