Christy Bonaiuto

Born in Yonkers, NY, I moved with my family at a young age to Texas where I grew up and started my love of nature. I spent most summers in Hopewell Junction, NY with my grandparents who lived surrounded by trees and beautiful hills and mountains—not something I saw much in the city of Dallas, Texas. I would draw similar images over and over of tree-lined streets and mountains and dream of living there one day.

My dream came true in 2010, when I moved to CT with my now husband. We live in Sherman and enjoy all that our small town and surrounding towns have to offer. I've been a photographer for over 15 years, expanding from nature photographer to people and enjoy capturing special moments.

I have a bachelor's degree in Journalism Layout Design with a minor in public relations from the University of Oklahoma. I'm part of the Great Hollow Photographers club as well as the Sherman Artists.

When the pandemic hit, I had a two year old at home who would ask me to draw her things and I started experimenting with different techniques and mediums. My passion has evolved from photography and now focuses on fine artwork. I love to be inspired and create one of a kind pieces that stand out for all to enjoy.
