Robin Le

The freedom of starting my paintings intuitively, using acrylics, inks, stencils, collage and mark making, is what brings me to the canvas. The refinement in oils, to put the final touch, feels like putting on my most comfortable slippers. Vibrant colors authentically flow onto the canvas creating a playful energy that I hope brightens the moment.

Robin Le's paintings have evolved from expressive portraits of women and animals, portraying their strength and beauty, to her recent series of abstracts, which are strongly influenced by nature. Her process involves several intuitive mixed media layers often with refinement in oils, while striving for an abundance of movement, depth and a deeper investigation of textures and colors.

She received her BFA from Hartford Art School and later studied metalsmithing, creating custom jewelry for over ten years. Not too long ago, she discovered her true creative passion in painting and mixed media.
