Gallery 25 and Creative Arts Studio is presenting a new Featured Artist, Sue Healy. Her "Moments in Time" realistic paintings of still life and nature's detail are delightful. The Featured Artist Show will run from July 3 – August 1, 2021. She will also be offering a Still Life Painting Workshop on Saturday July 17, 2021. "I am a realistic artist painting in many mediums and subject matter." says Sue Healy. Her style is illustrative most of the time but she also enjoys painting landscapes on site to break away from the more intense restraints of still life and nature's detail. You can find her usually drawing or painting everyday in her studio. She is also illustrating several children's books and teaches several classes in her studio in the evening.

Sue Healy has been painting and drawing all her life. She holds degrees from Napa College, and Christopher Newport University, where she completed her BFA and Teaching Credential. Additionally, she has completed masters level course work in Graphic Design, Illustration, 3D Rendering, Live Model Painting and Printmaking. Healy has worked as the Director of Arts and Crafts for the Army in Gieblestadt, Germany, and as an Illustrator for the Wurzburg Army Hospital, and the Army Times, Germany. After returning to the US, she taught art in Yorktown, Virginia, Wright City, Missouri and Danbury, Connecticut. Healy is a current member in many local art organizations and has authored and illustrated her first children’s book, 24 Crows and the Walking Tree.
