March 21–23, 2022 from 1-4pm
Gallery 25 and Creative Arts Studio welcomes back Diane Dubreuil as a Featured Artist with her show "Here and There". Her watercolor paintings were created 'en plein air' in beautiful places and bring a depth of beauty from these places across all seasons and worldwide locations. The Diane Dubreuil Featured Artist show is March 4-27, 2022. Her Workshop: "Sketching on the Go" is March 21-23, 2022.
As a former Director of Gallery25, Dubreuil is now focused on painting "en plein air" and teaching. Reflecting on why she paints, "For me, nothing refreshes my spirit as quickly as painting for a few hours outside." Says Dubreuil, "Quiet observation of nearly any scene, helps me learn about the place and the people who frequent it. Painting 'en plein air’' adds to that experience. I meet the most interesting people who tell me about their families, their homes and their towns. It's a great opportunity for sharing, and I love that my art is a catalyst for that."
Her Workshop "Sketching on the Go" will be held March 21, 22 & 23, 2022 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Gallery 25. Sketchbook journals are a great way to capture unique meaningful images in a short period of time and add a new dimension to your travel experiences. Through demonstration and on-site instruction, the focus will be on developing your own watercolor journal for traveling or simply for fun. Diane will demonstrate various drawing techniques and lead students step-by-step through the stages of adding simple values, transparent watercolor washes, and more.
